Undergraduate The attendance policy for undergraduate Theatre and Dance majors enrolled in a majors' course are required to attend department productions. For the spring semester, majors must attend the following performances: burst!Year of the Tiger, del corazón nance el enjambre and one of the productions of UTNT (UT New Theatre), Part Two. Venues, dates and times will be made available at theatredance.utexas.edu. All instructors of majors’ courses must include a statement explaining the attendance policy in their syllabi. The specific way(s) in which attendance is verified and the impact on students' grades is up to each instructor to determine and should also be clearly articulated in syllabi.

Syllabi and Grading

Here is a sample statement for inclusion in a spring semester syllabi for Theatre and Dance majors' courses:

Discounted Tickets for Theatre and Dance Majors: In the past, we have done a “Major’s Ticket Package” which provided greater discounted tickets for our Theatre and Dance majors. They would purchase this pass online, collect it in the main office and then proceed to the box office to collect tickets at their selected dates. In order to reduce contact, this will not be happening this semester. Instead, all majors may access that same discounted ticket rate by using the code TADFALL21 at THIS LINK to book tickets for the fall semester mainstage shows. This same code and link will apply to all eligible productions this fall (unless otherwise noted. Additional correspondence will follow).

Discounted Tickets for Non-Majors: For those instructors that have non-major students, in lieu of the “Non-Majors Ticket Package” students should plan to purchase a student ticket rate (select “Student” as the ticket type at checkout) as you would a normal ticket. Information about purchasing tickets for the 21/22 Season is available here.

Texas Theatre and Dance is committed to the health and safety of our students, faculty, staff and audiences.
