The Progress Review is an oral examination performed before your PhD Dissertation Committee as a whole to review and address your research progress to date, and your plan for further research toward completion of your PhD Dissertation. The committee will address any deficiencies in your foundational  knowledge that become apparent during the discussion of your research.  During the Progress Review, you will present your PhD research to date, and the .  The committee will evaluate and sign off on your research and plan, establishing a de-facto contract between you and your committee about the project and topic being PhD-worthy if completed as proposed.
