The Immersion Grating Infrared Spectrometer (IGRINS) is a near-infrared spectrometer with coverage of the near-IR H & K bands 1.45-2.45 microns with a spectral resolution of ~45000 (8 km s-1). IGRINS was commissioned in 2014 on the 2.7 m telescope at McDonald Observatory. It has It is a joint collaboration between The University of Texas at Austin and the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI).
