The DNA Sequencing Facility is a non-profit serving The University of Texas at Austin research community. Our services and instruments are as comprehensive and accessible as possible to increase faculty, staff, and student research productivity.
Objectives
While sustaining our characteristic high-throughput and fast-turnaround, the current objectives of the DSF are outreach and education. As opposed to being an anonymous service, we aim to engage and build relationships with faculty, staff, and students who can benefit from our expertise. We seek to achieve this by providing superior customer service, specific to client needs, as follows:
Expand accessibility and implement Sanger innovations that benefit our highly-experienced, high-volume mega-users
Improve technical and educational resources for researchers needing quick and reliable Sanger results
Offer personalized assistance for customers sequencing difficult templates
Offer custom services for UT researchers with unique needs, such as CRISPR sequencing or SNP analysis
