The Marquee program is installed on a computer stored in a remote location.

Open RDC (a grown-up must first configure for you) and click "Connect"

Once you log in remotely to the IBM Relik Z5011, the Marquee editor program, "Venus 1500" (no it's really called that) will open automatically:

Use "Message Studio" to create event "messages." Use "Scheduling Studio" to create a scheduled rotation list of messages ti display on the Marquee. Use Display Manager to load the schedule and run the messages.

 

Messages

Open Message Studio

Click folder icon to open saved messages.

Open one likely to require minimal editing,

Click a frame from selector (right click for frame options), then click in frame area to edit text. Animation controls are at the bottom. Save and close when done.

Scheduling

Open Schedule Studio

Click folder icon and a recent folder to open saved schedule

Right-click to add, delete, or move a message within the schedule

To add, select "Add". In new row, click "Type" field and change to "Message"

In dialogue window, select your message folder, select a message, then select "First Date" and "Last Date" for the duration you want the message to run. Save and close.

Display/Run messages on Marquee

Open Display Manager and (1) select "Schedule Control View"

(2) Expand the folder with your schedule" and double-click the schedule icon (or if it's not working, right-click and select "send"–still not working? Try "run")

(3) When prompted, click yes to overwrite

(4) Select "Message Control View" and check to make sure your messages appear in the "Running Messages" pane

(5) Repeat steps (1) through (5) every 108 minutes again or until messages display in "Running Messages" pane.
