Poster printing

The The CHE department now offers poster printing free to CHE students. More information is at the departmental administrative resources page. 


  • Department-sponsored research posters can be printed in-house

  • There are two poster templates that we encourage you to use.  The template follows appropriate departmental branding and is standard scientific poster size (36″ x 48″).


  • Please download a copy of the PowerPoint ChE Poster

GUIDELINES:

  • Do not change the size or location of the McKetta Department of Chemical Engineering logo.

  • The template uses UT approved font Benton Sans. However, if you do not have access to that font, please use the secondary approved font Arial. You can download the Arial font ChE Poster Template HERE. 


  • Please refrain from using any other UT Austin emblems or logos on the poster such as the Longhorn or the UT Seal.

  • Colors of the section headers can be altered (as shown in the template file showcasing the two poster templates with alternate color option examples) but only from the branding color palette.


When ready to print, please use this form to submit your poster printing request.  Be sure to title your poster file with your full name.

Additional poster printing options

The Perry-Castañeda Library will will print posters up to 42” x 60” in PCL for $5 $10 per linear foot. Jobs can be submitted in PDF format to posterprinting@lib.utexas.edu You will have to collect these.

Document Solutions on campus can print posters.They usually charge around $36 for 24” x 36”.  They are located in the social services building.  You can email them a pdf and tell them the size and quality of paper you need, and they will email you back a quote.  utcopy@austin.utexas.edu

Updating Contact and Bank Details

Students should make sure the graduate coordinator has their current email address, and all contact information is up-to-date in the UT Directory. To change your email address for the graduate program list serv, email the graduate coordinator. For all other list servs, update your contact information in the UT Directory or email the owner of the individual list serv.

For nonpayroll payments, including fellowship payments, refunds, and reimbursements, complete the Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)

Transportation and Parking

Students ride free on all Capitol Metro Buses, UT shuttle buses, MetroRapid, and Light Rail with a student ID card. The shuttle bus service covers campus and many parts of Austin, including the Pickle Research Center. Maps, timetables and travel planner available on the CapMetro website.

The bus timetable is also linked to the bus stop icons in GoogleMaps and to the GoogleMaps route-planner, and the Transit App has live arrival times, route maps and a journey planner on a platform that is more stable than the CapMetro App.

Parking is very limited at UT Austin. All registered students are eligible to purchase a ‘C’ hangtag permit. Registered graduate students who are employed by UT for at least twenty hours per week (GRAs, TAs, and some fellowship holders) may request an ‘A’ hangtag permit online. Note that you will not be able to purchase an 'A' ticket until your work appointment begins. The graduate coordinator sends in a parking verification form to the parking office in late August. If you believe you qualify for ‘A’ parking and the parking office does not have your name, contact the graduate coordinator. For more information on eligibility, fees, location of the parking lots, or other information on parking, contact UT Parking.

To submit a poster order, please complete all necessary sections on their order form.  The following information is required:

  • Full name, valid email address, and UT EID.
  • Intended method of payment. We accept payment via departmental account transfer (please provide department name and 10-digit account number) or via credit card, electronic fund transfers, or eCheck online.
  • Your file(s) in PDF format.
  • Size at which you would like your poster printed. The dimensions of the poster must not exceed 42” x 60”.

If your file is larger than 15MB, you must email posterprinting.libraries@austin.utexas.edu with a link to the Box file or you must make an appointment to bring the file to our offices on a USB. We do not accept files larger than 40MB.

Please allow 1-2 business days for your poster to be printed. You will be contacted via email when your poster is ready to pick up.
