We do our best to ensure that all students have a desk int he building where they are doing their research. If your research and supervising professor is located in ETC, please inform the graduate coordinator and they will assign you a seat. ALL student desks on the 8th and 9th floors of ETC are assigned by a faculty committee and the graduate coordinator. Please make sure that you sit in your assigned offices and do not move to other offices. If you wish to move offices or obtain a desk assignment, please go through the graduate coordinator. If a desk looks empty, it could very well be assigned to an incoming student so again, please go through the graduate coordinator. While we attempt to sit students from the same research group together, this is not always possible, and no offices are assigned to specific faculty, so please allow the coordinator to do the assignments. Key requests are obtained through the graduate coordinatoryour individual faculty supervisor labs. Keys must be returned by their due date to the UT Lock and Key Services center.
