| Right click on the hard drive icon on the desktop |

| Choose to "Get Info" |

Click on the lock to unlock and you will have to put in your UN = EID PW = your EID password (remember your EID is now admin) so you can set permissions |

Check the box that Ignores ownership on this volume Also make sure that "Everyone" Can Read and Write |
|
Then pull the settings drop down and choose to "Apply to enclosed items" |
|
| That should fix the hard drive read and write problems |
