Eligibility to Participate
- Only current UT students and faculty/staff with RecSports memberships are eligible.
- All participants must be prepared to show a valid photo ID at all times during the meet.
- UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS VARSITY ATHLETES, INCLUDING WALK-ONS, RED SHIRTS, AND TRANSFERS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THE INTRAMURAL TRACK MEET.
- Former letter winners in cross-country or track at any university are NOT eligible.
Event Registration Rules
Each participant will participateevent will take place on Monday, April 29, 2024, at the Mike A. Myers Track and Soccer Stadium. Check-in and warmup will begin at 6:30pm with events beginning at 7pm.
Meet Details
- Each participant will compete in the meet either as a member of a Men’s or Women’s team
- or as an "unattached" individual in the Men’s or Women’s Division.
Team Information
- Teams are limited to 12 individuals. There are separate divisions for Men’s and Women’s teams. There are no Coed teams.
- Each team is limited to 4 individuals per event, including field events.
- A team may enter multiple relay teams in one event.
- Team points will be awarded as follows: 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Relays will score double points.
Meet Format
- All participants should register individually, making sure to enter either the team name or "unattached" in the designated space when registering.
- Event entries will be due 48 hours before the event. Team captains can submit entries for all of their members.
- Participants may compete in both field events and up to three running events. However, participants will not be permitted to add or change events on-site.
Registering for Team Events
- Teams are limited to 15 roster members.
- Team points will be awarded in order of finish: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1. Relays will score double points.
- Unattached participants will be permitted to form relay teams on-site.
- If multiple heats are needed for an event, no more than two members of any one team may run in the same heat.
Field Events:
- Standing Broad Jump and Softball Throw
- Events begin at 7:00pm and will take place on a rolling basis throughout the meet.
- Limit of 4 participants per team in each event.
Running Events:
- All running events will be timed finals. The order of finish in events with multiple heats will be determined by time.
Field Event Format
Softball Throw – Each contestant will take 2 consecutive throws. The longest throw will be measured. Softballs will be provided.
Standing Broad Jump – Each contestant may take three jumps. The longest jump will be measured.
Ultimate Disc Throw – Each contestant will take 2 consecutive throws. The longest throw will be measured. Discs will be provided.
- Only the 100m dash will have a final (if necessary).
- Participants are eligible to compete in a maximum of 3 running events, including relays.
- Limit of 4 runners per team per each individual event and one relay team per team for each relay.
- The Women’s Division will run first in each event.
Event Schedule
- 7:00pm: 4x100m relay
- 7:10pm: 1500m run
- 7:25pm: 100/110m hurdles
- 7:40pm: 400m run
- 7:50pm: 100m dash (prelims)
- 8:00pm: 800m run
- 8:10pm: 200m dash
- 8:20pm: 3200m run (combined)
- 8:40pm: 100m (finals-if necessary)
- 8:45pm: 4x400m relay
- 8:50pm: 40m dash – this event is for prizes only, does not count toward team points, and does not count toward the maximum 3 running events
Please note: Events may be canceled if fewer than four individuals or teams enter.

Eligibility Exceptions
- Letter winners and squad members from any UT Athletics team are not eligible.
- Scholarship track and field athletes from any university are not eligible.
Awards
- Men’s and Women’s team champions will each receive Intramural Champion shirts and have a team photo taken for the Intramural Champion Wall of Fame. Participation in at least one event is required.
- NOTE: Any individuals that have earned a champion shirt for winning an event will NOT receive an additional champion shirt for being a member of the winning team.
- The participant with the best time or distance overall in each Men’s and Women’s event will win an Intramural Champion shirt.
