UTBox - Saving your work

The safest place to save your work is on UTBox.
utbox.utexas.edu : is a secure cloud space to share and store all business-related files. Sign in with your UT EID.
DO NOT USE: Documents folder and Desktop -These folders are not backed up and the Documents folder is the default save location.

...

You must not give your password to anyone else, nor allow anyone else to use your login.
Be sure to logout from (or "lock") your workstation whenever you are away from it. This is particularly important if you have used a conference room computer as they do NOT automatically "shutdown", "restart" or "log off". General guidelines are:
Lock your workstation (Windows Key +L) to step away for break or lunch with the intention of returning that same day.
Log out of your workstation (Start Menu) to leave the workstation for the day (either to go home or to move to another work area).
Do not leave your passwords any place it might be discovered, such as your desk drawer or wallet. If you have multiple passwords to keep track of, you may use an app designed for storing them safely such as stache.utexas.edu which is supported by the university.

Logging into Zoom

This account is logged into with your EID and EID password at: utexas.zoom.us OR by launching the Zoom application on your computer (we recommend the application)

WEB ZOOM: Please visit our wiki here for information on the web version of Zoom.

ZOOM Desktop App: Select the 'SSO' option to sign in, this will redirect you to log in with you EID account
Search "Zoom" on your computer's search bar. Then click on the Zoom app or on "Open". This will launch the Zoom application.

Make sure to choose the "SSO" option at the bottom, this will redirect you to an EID login.

The domain should autofill and the application should also automatically open a web browser requesting your EID login.
If the Domain is empty, type "utexas" as shown below, and hit continue. This will open a web browser requesting your EID login.

Once you login with your EID, confirm your DUO.
Next, this will popup at the top of the webpage. Make sure to "Always allow" and then click "Open Zoom Meetings"

...

VPN is only required for laptop users. If you do not have a UHS/CMHC assigned laptop from HITS, this information is not critical.
To find and launch the VPN Client, search for "Cisco" or "anyconnect" on your computer. The App is called Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client.
I recommend choosing "Pin to taskbar" to make launching and connecting more convenient.

For detailed VPN information, including login information, please click Connecting to the SSB VPN (Virtual Private Network)click HERE.

Please click here for tutorials from Microsoft on how to use Teams

...

Do not use the 'utguest' wifi or you will not have access to everything. This includes on your cell phone.
If you accidentally connect to 'utguest' you will need to forget the network to prevent your device from automatically reconnecting to it. You can forget a network by navigating to your Wi-Fi settings and choosing "Forget this Network". If you are having trouble finding this option, I would recommend googling - "YourDeviceName + How to forget a network"
Please feel free to use the 'utexas' Wi-Fi on campus. You log into this using your EID. Android users please refer here if you are having issues connecting.

...

Check your outlook for an email from DUO Security Enrollment. Follow the link and the prompts to add this second DUO account to the app on your phone. This will function the same as the UTDUO but is used specifically for WEB-PNC.
