UTVM's dial-by-name feature is of limited use. Because the Graphic User Interface (GUI) displays either the name or the phone number , (but not both*, ) associated with calls, ITS opted to display the phone number. Subscribers may add their name information via the GUI, making their accounts available to dial-by-name, but their messages left for other subscribers will no longer display the phone number.
*A feature development request to display both name and phone number was accepted by the vendor. The GUI will be updated in a future software release (no ETA yet).
