Materials
Students must supply their own materials. If the knife breaks while cutting the user must compensate for the broken blade.
Acceptable Materials
The knife can process thin materials such as:
- Paper
- Cardboard
- Chipboard
- Museum board
- Soft Plastics
- Felt
- Fabric
Prohibited Materials
- Any rigid materials
- Basswood or other wood products
- MDF - Any thicker than 1" and all non-Formaldahyde-Free
- Metals
- Magnetic Sheets (this will dull the blade quickly)
- Cement board, Rockite, plaster, etc. (anything containing Portland cement)
- Ask first about anything not on either list
