  1. Request Admin Privileges with MakeMeAdminMake Me Admin
    1. Click on the Windows button and search for Make Me Admin
    2. Click "Grant Me Administrator Rights" when prompted
  2. Manually Remove CiscoAMP (via Control Panel|Add/Remove Programs)
    1. Click the Windows button and search for "Add or remove programs" and open the system settings pane when prompted
    2. If on Windows 10, locate Cisco AMP/ Cisco Secure Client and click on the entry to reveal the option to uninstall. Proceed through the password prompt with your EID and password.
    3. If on Windows 11, locate Cisco AMP/ Cisco Secure Client and click on the three vertical dots to the right of the entry to reveal the option to uninstall. Proceed through the password prompt with your EID and password. See image below for clarification if needed.
    4. If you receive a prompt asking if you will reinstall AMP or Cisco Secure Client, select "No"
  3. Manually Remove AnyConnect (via Control Panel|Add/Remove Programs) following the same procedure as in step 2.
  4. Reboot
  5. Verify Windows Defender is active by opening Windows Security and making sure there is a green check mark next to "Virus & threat protection"
  6. Re-install Cisco AnyConnect via Software Center
