Locate your timeline that you are going to add your surround sound mix and 

Export it go to >File>Export>Media


Choose File Name

Where to save it by clicking the Blue Type on Location


Choose the Preset DNxHR/DNxHD MXF Op1a

Resolution DNxHR HQ 8 bit

Full HD 1920 x 1080

If you have captions make sure you burn in with Captions Into Video

Then Choose Export

You will end up with a .mxf file like this

Go to >File > Import that back into your project and we will use it later in this process



Next Import the 5.1 Interleaved File into your Premiere Project

Select the file and import
Choose the Interleaved 5.1 .wav

Click on the >File >New Item and choose Sequence

Choose DNxHD HQ 1080 23.976
DON'T HIT OK YET!!

NEXT CLICK ON THE SETTINGS TAB

Click on the Settings TAB


Leave all the settings as is but double check to match

this frame grab shown here


Then Name the Sequence at the very bottom

CLICK ON THE TRACKS TAB NEXT



Click on the Tracks Tab and then delete the audio tracks

Set Video to 1 track
And change Mix from Stereo to Multichannel and set
Number of tracks to 6

Change the Track Type of the one audio track to 5.1

Title the sequence "Title - Surround Sound" and click OK

Next double click the .mxf file to load it into the source monitor and then drag just the video track

down to the newly created surround sound timeline

Choose to Keep existing settings

Then load the sound mix

(5.1 Interleaved) file into the source monitor and drag the audio only tracks to the timeline

Place on the 5.1 track in the surround sound sequence 

   

YOU will be only able to check audio tracks 1 and 2 so you won't hear dialog but hopefully you can tell well enough.

The final check will be the QuickTime you will make next.


REMEMBER

DELETE THE 2 POP AT THE BEGINNING AND AT THE END


Scaling YOU may HAVE TO SCALE YOUR FILE

Click on your video file in the timeline

Then click on Effect Control menu on the left hand side

Drop down the Motion setting and on scale select that parameter and adjust

Don't want to see this small black edge around your image Don't want this black line

No black line this is what you want

Make sure the sequence is loaded in the Timeline Window and then select the timeline window so it's

Highlighted Blue

Go to >File >Export>Media


Choose Send to Media Encoder

On the "Format" pulldown choose QuickTime

Click on the blue "Preset" setting to change the QuickTime settings

Click on the Video Tab

Video Codec

Apple ProRes 422

Export Settings

Format = QuickTime

Preset = Custom


Choose Export Video and Export Audio


Click on the Audio Tab shown here

  
Audio Codec - Uncompressed


Choose Basic Audio Settings

Sample Rate 48

Sample Size 24


Audio Channel Configuration = Output Channels 5.1 L,R.C.LFE, Ls, Rs

Make sure Entire Sequence is selected

Click on the "Output File" name and that'll let you choose where to save

Navigate to where you want to save and click on Save

Click the green arrow in the upper right corner to start rendering
