Libraries
The Dell Medical School Library provides electronic access to books, journals, and databases, and the physical library space on the third floor of HLB has study tables and carrels, group study rooms, a room with available desktop computers, the librarian’s office, and a small print book collection.

Printer/Scanner
There is a b/w printer / color scanner available in HLB 3.106.

Accessing UT Libraries Electronic Resources

  • You will be prompted to login with your UT EID and password to access UT Libraries’ electronic collections when not on campus or not on the UT Wi-Fi. Additionally you will authenticate via Duo Multi-Factor Authentication after you login.
  • In some library databases, in order to access the full text of articles, you will need to use the FindIt@UT button. 
  • If you are a Google Scholar user, you can configure your settings so that the Viewit@UT link (same link as Findit@UT) is visible for each article that is available in the UT Libraries e-journal collection. Follow these instructions: https://guides.lib.utexas.edu/ld.php?content_id=52857500


Library Services

  • Interlibrary Services (ILS) - http://www.lib.utexas.edu/services/ils/ 
    • To request a loan of a book, or scan of a book chapter or journal article, not owned by UT Libraries. 
    • To request a scan of a journal article or a book chapter that is available only in print in the UT Libraries collections.
    • Typical turnaround time is 1 - 3 business days for a scan, and 5+ days for a print book. 
    • This is a free service.
    • Due to COVID-19, currently print books are not available through interlibrary loan.
  • Ask the Dell Medical School librarian - Email, call, find her at the library service desk or in her office, or set up an appointment. She can help you with UT Library resources, search strategies, reference citation tools such as EndNote, or any other information need.
