Discussion Notes
- Challenges/Tips:
- Toddlers tastes change a lot and often and trying to keep up with those preferences can be difficult
- It's tough to get a variety of food choices
- Pressure Cooker meals
- Some suggested making kids eat whatever parents are eating (when a bit older maybe)
- Several people had kids with egg allergies, so we brainstormed a few ideas
- Egg bagels
- meatballs/meatloaf
- Use the slow cooker.crock pot during the week
- Central Market meals and add in smaller proteins and/or vegetables
- Tricky when kids have different preferences/eating times
- Bag of frozen meat balls-easy to make a quick meal at night, so have them in your freezer!
- No thank you rule: encourage kids to take atleast one bite before saying they dont like something. After one bite, if they dont like it, they can say "no thank you" but they may end up liking it!
