The following is information for faculty regarding procedures for tracking and confirming students' attendance of productions.

All Theatre and Dance majors are required to attend a performance from each of the following productions this season:

Fall Semester

  • Dial "M" for Murder, Oct. 4-13 at the B. Iden Payne Theatre
  • Our Country's Good, Oct. 18-27 at the Oscar G. Brockett Theatre
  • Fall For Dance, Nov. 15-24 at the B. Iden Payne Theatre

Spring Semester

  • Dead Man's Cell Phone, Feb. 14-23 at the Oscar G. Brockett Theatre
  • Kinesthetic Imperative, Mar. 6-9 at the B. Iden Payne Theatre
  • In the Heights, Apr. 9-19 at the B. Iden Payne Theatre

Proof of Attendance

Immediately after seeing a performance, students will request a Proof of Attendance Receipt from a Front of House manager or usher in the theatre lobby. This receipt includes the title of the production, date of the performance and space for the student's name. Students are to write their name on the receipt and return it to their instructor at their next class meeting. Proof of Attendance Receipts are not available at any time other than immediately following the performance the student attended.

Faculty are to submit all Proof of Attendance Receipts to the Faculty Mail Room (submission box available beginning Monday following the show's closing) by the Friday following the final performance of the show. Students’ names must be legible. Submission deadlines are as follows:

Dial “M” for Murder
Receipts Submitted to Information Desk by 10/18/13

Our Country’s Good
Receipts Submitted to Information Desk by 11/1/13

Fall For Dance
Receipts Submitted to Information Desk by 12/2/13*

Dead Man’s Cell Phone

Attendance List for Faculty

The Information Desk staff will generate a list of attendees for faculty. We will strive to post this list to the Theatre and Dance server within two weeks of the submission deadline. Faculty will receive notice via email once the attendance list is available for review.
