UT Austin offers four University-level teaching awards, described on this page. The Executive Vice President and Provost (EVPP) limits the number of nominations that may be submitted by each College for each award. Nominations of College of Education faculty must follow established COE nomination deadlines. The four University-level faculty teaching awards are as follows:

COE deadlines in AY 2024-25

Faculty who wish to nominate themselves or a colleague for one of the four awards listed above must notify their department chair and administrative manager no later than January 20, 2025. Nominees selected by the department/college must submit all required nomination materials by March 3, 2025.

Faculty Teaching Award Nomination Material Requirements AY 2024-25

 Requirements described in this section apply to the following awards only:

  • President’s Associates Undergraduate Teaching Excellence Award

  • President’s Associates Graduate Teaching Excellence Award

  • Dads’ Association Centennial Teaching Fellowship

  • William David Blunk Memorial Professorship

Nomination packets are limited to ten pages total (not including the cover page) for each award and should include the following sections:

Section A: Cover page and evidence of minimal eligibility requirements met (1 page)

Materials included must demonstrate with data and supporting evidence the faculty’s effectiveness in terms of student learning/development. In this section applicants are welcome to include:
