Often Outlook problems can be solved by switching between Outlook Cached Mode and Online Mode.  If you are experiencing sluggishness and other delays in Outlook, we recommend using cached mode.

To Turn on Cached Mode:

    1. Open Outlook.
    2. Open File>Account Settings>Account Settings. A window should pop up that looks something like this:


    3. Double-click the email you wish to put into cached mode.
    4. Check the box for Use Cached Exchanged Mode. Hit Next>Finish.
    5. Close Outlook and reopen it for the change to take place.

To Turn Off Cached Mode:

    1. Open Outlook.
    2. Open File>Account Settings>Account Settings. A window should pop up that looks something like this:

    4. Uncheck the box for Use Cached Exchanged Mode. Hit Next>Finish.
    5. Close Outlook and reopen it for the change to take place.
