In a new message, go to the Options tab and select the From in the Show Fields section
Select the From > Other email address...
In the new window that pops up, select the From button. Search for the mailbox name in the Global address list
NOTE: You must choose it from the GAL and not enter it by hand
In a new message, go to the Options tab and select the From checkbox in the ribbon.
Select the dropdown next to the From, start typing in the M365 email address you would like to send from.
When the email pops up in the “Suggested contacts”, select it.
Once you have done this once, it will be an option in the From dropdown in future new messages.
If you are connected the resource mailbox via OWA, new messages and replied to messages will come from the resource mailbox address.
To add the mailbox to your PC Outlook folder list, please do the following:
In Outlook, Go to the File Tab
Choose Account Settings> Account Settings
Select Change
Select More Settings
Advanced Tab
Select Add
Enter: <Enter the mailbox address or display name>
Select OK… until you get through all the windows.
The mailbox will now be in your folder list
You can also view the mailbox via a web browser. When you send a message in OWA in comes "from" the mailbox you are viewing.
Option 1:
https://outlook.office.com/mail/<mailbox email address>
For example:
https://outlook.office.com/mail/ecac@engr.utexas.edu/
When prompted for a user name and password on the UT login page, enter your EID and EID password.
Option 2:
Log into your own mailbox, https://outlook.office365.com.
Once logged in, choose your initials in the top right corner and select "Open another mailbox"
In the search box, enter the display name or the email address of the mailbox
When the mailbox is found, select it and select "open".
File > Open > Shared Mailbox
Search for the email address of the mailbox
Select Add.
