Swim Meet Information

Event Entry Information

  1. An entry form will be e-mailed to all registered participants the week of the meet.
  2. Team captains may complete the entry form for all team members.
  3. Each participant, swimming either unattached or on a team roster, may enter a maximum of 3 swimming events.
  4. All swimmers may participate in the coed inner tube relay. It does not count for team points nor toward the 3 event limit.
  5. Teams may enter a maximum of 4 swimmers per individual event, and 1 team per relay event.
  6. Teams shall consist of a minimum of 4 swimmers and a maximum of 12 swimmers.
  7. There must be a minimum of 4 swimmers or 2 relay teams per event in order to award points and prizes.
  8. Teams may not add new swimmers to their roster after Noon on the day prior to the meet.
  9. Swimmers are responsible for reporting to the proper lane as their events are called. Heat sheets will be posted on the pool deck.


Order of Events – all events are Timed Finals

  1. 200 medley relay (backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, freestyle)
  2. 200 freestyle
  3. 50 freestyle
  4. 100 Individual Medley (butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle)
  5. 50 butterfly
  6. 200 coed inner tube relay (any 2 males/2 females)
  7. 100 freestyle
  8. 50 backstroke
  9. 50 breaststroke
  10. 400 freestyle
  11. 200 freestyle relay


Scoring

  1. Scoring for each event will be for the top 8 times as follows: 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1
  2. Relays will also be scored using this system.
  3. The inner tube relay will not count for points, and any 4 swimmers (2 male/2 female) may create a team.


Awards & Photos

  1. The overall winner of each event in the Men’s and Women’s divisions will receive an Intramural Champion T-shirt.
  2. Any members of the winning Men’s and Women’s teams who were not event winners will receive an Intramural Champion T-shirt.
  3. Photos of the Men’s and Women’s team champions will be taken. Participants must be present at the conclusion of the meet for the photo.
