Configuring Outlook 2011 for Mac with an Office 365 McCombs Mailbox

 

  1. Select Preferences form the Outlook menu.
  2. At the Preferences window click Accounts.
  3. At the Accounts window click the Exchange Server button if it appears, otherwise click the + button in the lower left corner of the window and select Exchange... from the drop down menu. NOTE: If you have a previous account set up that you no longer wish to use (such as your old McCombs mailbox), you can remove it by selecting it and then clicking the - button in the lower left corner of the window.
  4. At the next window enter your email address, enter your username as {username}@mccombs.utexas.edu. your password, check the box to Configure automatically, then click Add Account.

  5. You should receive a message telling you that you have been redirected to an Outlook.com server. Check Always use my response for this server and then click Allow.
  6. Congratulations, you are done!
