7) Conclusion and Future Work - Snickerdoodle
Overall , our carousel worked as desired. It not only had rotational motion, but it also had vertical motion using gears and joints. In addition to this, we had some very aesthetically pleasing animals to watch as the carousel made its rounds.
Though our mechanism had all of the motions that were proposed, we would implement some changes for the future. First and foremost, we had issues coding the servo so that it would rotate at a slower pace, so we would change the code in the servo so that the carousel is not so jerky when moving. Next, we would recreate the top of the carousel and add an off center hole so that the wooden dowel in the middle can connect to the top of the carousel. Finally, we would add a top hat to the carousel for style.
