Metadata Technical Documentation for AILLA 2 (Islandora-AILLA), October 2017 through December 2024

This parent documents the MODS, MADS, and Custom metadata schemas used on the AILLA Islandora site (AILLA 2) from October 2017 through December 31, 2024, when that site was shut down.

This documentation is arranged in a hierarchical fashion to match the MODS/MADS style as shown in the page tree below.

Every element page under the MODS, MADs, or AILLA Custom headings is set up in the following template and contains the following information.

MODS Element: [name of element]

Element Definition	MODS or MADS official definition for the element.
AILLA Definition	AILLA definition, IF different than the official definition.

Form option	Provides the label for and input type of the form option.
Repeatable	Indicates whether the element is repeatable.
Form Required?	Indicates if the element is required or recommended by the form.
AILLA Required?	Indicates if the element is required or recommended by AILLA.
