Pro Tools - CMB 4.122 Studio 4C - How to Setup For a Atmos Mix Session
Click on Computer to Start the system

Then click on Advanced | |
Then click on Surround Sound |

Surround & Mix Settings For Speaker Modes choose ATMOS
Projector input choose HDMI Mix Station Program |

For Theatrical Reference 85db SPL Turn all the way up the calibrated level is the max level
The REF and Theatrical buttons don’t do anything so leave those alone | |
Open Focusrite Control in the Applications folder | |
Click on >File Load Snapshot

Go to >4C Mix Suite Storage> Atmos 4C Session Setup > Select - FocusRite Atmos 7_1_4 Snapshot
Click Open |

Next Open ProTools |
|
Click OK here |
|
Click Allow here |
|
Click Next here |
|
Choose the Focusrite Thunderbolt as the Playback Engine
Click OK |
|
When ProTools Opens click on CANCEL don’t setup a new session we are going to do additional I/O setup FIRST |

Go to >Setup>I/O |
|
Click on Apply to all tabs check box Then click on Import Settings
|
|
Navigate to >4C Mix Suite Storage >4C Mix Suite Storage>Select - Atmos - Foley I/O.pio >Click Open |
|
Choose Yes to Replace existing busses |
|
The correct I/O Setup will open and this is how the input should look >Input I/O Tab
Note if the settings don’t match make sure you had “Apply To All Tabs” checked

Press OK to close |

Then open Session
|

Click Open From Drive At the bottom of the window

Navigate to >4C Mix Suite Storage>Atmos - 4C ProTools Session Setup>Atmos - 4C Test Session 7_1_4>Atmos - 4C Test Session 7_1_4 >Click Open |

Click Yes Here if you are asked to enable the Video Engine | |
Click Yes here to enable the Dolby Renderer | |
You should see the Video Clip on the projector in the mix room. If you do not see any video then check to see if the BlackMagic Ultrastudio is connected. Go to Macintosh HD>Applications>Blackmagic Desktop Video open Desktop Video Setup and you should see

open Desktop Video Setup and you should see the UltraStudio 4K connected
If you do not then try restarting the computer after saving your work in ProTools |

ProTools Atmos Session Go to the Tracks and twrill down the DOLBY PINK tracks
|
|
To see the Dolby Window >Window>Dolby Atmos Renderer - make sure it is checked on |
|
Make sure the Dolby Atmos Renderer is set to 7.1.4 |
|
Play the pink noise section of the session and check speaker levels Solo each channel and make sure each one is at 79 at REF level Solo L, C, R, Lss, Rss, Lsr, Rsr, LFE, LtSum and RtSum | |

When finished recording the session Go to File >Save session Then Quit ProTools and copy the session and recorded audio files to box or make sure they are on your hard drive to take with you for editing or mixing. |

Turn System off when finished |
