(Archived) Fujitsu Scanner Folders

When using the Fujitsu scanner, you can create your own folder within the Fujitsu folder on the network. There are several benefits to using a personal folder for scanning:

  1. It will be easier to locate your document when you are ready to import it into the vault.
  2. Each of us will be responsible for deleting our scanned documents from the network after they have been imported into the vault.  If you use a personal folder to sort and collect your documents, it will be easier to identify the ones you are responsible for deleting.

To create your folder and direct documents to it each time you scan, simply include the name of your folder followed by a slash (either a backslash "\" or a forward slash "/") in front of the document name in the Save as field when scanning.  For example, "amg\Change Order 2" indicates that the document called Change Order 2 will be placed in the folder called amg (in the main Fujitsu network folder) once scanned.  Each time you scan a document (that you want placed in your personal folder) you will need to include the folder name and a slash in front of the document title. Refer to the Scan record procedure for the Fujitsu scanner for instructions.
