Data and Cloud Storage - UTBox and Austin Disk

The university provides several options for data storage.  Please be aware of the types of data that are approved for each service by referring to the ISO Cloud Services Matrix:

https://security.utexas.edu/iso-policies/cloud-services/decision-matrix

The most common service is UTBox, which can be accessed at http://utexas.box.com/UTBox features unlimited data storage for all UT Students, Faculty, and Staff.  It is approved for confidential data and can be used to securely transfer large files.  You can find more information on UTBox at http://links.utexas.edu/cbhxbba.

Google Drive/Docs for Education and Microsoft OneDrive are also approved for some data storage - refer to the matrix link above for details.

Faculty and Staff can use the PGE share on the Austin Disk service, commonly known as the "Areas" folders, with supervisor permission.  Contact the PGE IT staff at pge-support@austin.utexas.edu for more information.
