Troubleshooting
If the end users is experiencing issues, first ask if they are on or off campus.
- if OFF campus, connect to VPN. The user should now be able to follow the notifications to continue the JAMF installation/LANRev uninstallation.
- If ON campus, the user should only need to APPROVE any on-screen prompts. Any abnormalities with the install need to go to Desktop Engineering for troubleshooting. Slack call Ben or Francisco fro emergencies.
Installation
The installation process will take 30-45 minutes to complete but the user can continue working while the installation process is underway.
The final step requires a restart. Please remind the user to save any new data before selection the OK button.
Users on 10.12 will receive a "silent install" and will only be prompted for a restart when the process is complete.
