Instructions on accessing Q-Drive on Mac and Windows devices.

On Mac:

  1. Connect to vpn.utexas.edu using Cisco Secure Client. (For steps on VPN setup)

  2. Open the Finder App.

  3. In the top menu bar, click on Go.

  4. At the bottom of that drop down menu, click on Connect to Server…

  5. For Server Address, enter the following: smb://disk.prc.utexas.edu/Projects$

  6. You will be prompted to log in. Login with your EID credentials and connect.

On Windows:

  1. Connect to vpn.utexas.edu using Cisco Secure Client. (For steps on VPN setup)

  2. Open File Explorer.

  3. Right-click on This PC.

  4. In the menu, click on Map network drive.

  5. In the Drive drop down menu, select Q: for Q-drive. In Folder, enter //disk.utexas.edu/Projects$

  6. Click Connect. Your Q-drive will appear under Network Locations in This PC.
