(macOS) How to Run a Device Check-In using Self Service
An instructional guide for using UT Self-Service perform a device check-in.
Instructions:
Open “Spotlight Search” by clicking the magnifying glass icon in the top right, or by simultaneously pressing COMMAND+SPACE
In the search bar, search for “Self Service” and open the application:
With Self Service open, navigate to “Tools” along the left side and look for “(Check-in)”
Click “Check-in” below the Check-in tile:
Allow the process to complete, and you’re all set!
Sometimes after your Mac checks in with the system, you might see a message in Self Service that says, “This item is no longer available.”
Don’t worry—this is a known issue, and it doesn’t mean anything is broken. Your Mac is still updating in the background, and things should return to normal shortly.
