Tutor (Undergraduate)
All undergraduate student staff in academic support roles would be paid at these rates. The structure for beginning and continuing salaries is as follows:
Starting salary: $11.25/hr
After four completed semesters of (mostly*) consecutive employment: $12.50/hr
Tutor (Graduate)
Graduate student tutors in ACTS would be assigned in this job title. The structure for beginning and continuing salaries is as follows:
Starting salary: $13.25/hr
After four completed semesters of (mostly*) consecutive employment: $14.50/hr
Undergraduate Assistant
Student staff in supervisory/mentoring roles*: $14.00/hr
Graduate Assistant (changed 2020-21)
This designation is reserved for graduate student staff in more traditional graduate assistant roles, such as providing technical and/or instructional assistance to professional staff.
Tier One: $17/hour
Duties may include:
-Consulting with students
-Marketing SLC programs
-Tracking attendance for SLC programs
-Analyzing data for SLC programs
-Delivering workshops
-Participating in training of student educators
-Observing and giving feedback to student educators
-Facilitating meetings of student educators
Tier Two: $23/hour
In addition to the duties listed above, duties may include:
-Developing content that requires disciplinary expertise in the graduate student’s field of study
-Delivering content that requires disciplinary expertise in the graduate student’s field of study
Student Associate (non-academic title)
Undergraduate student staff in non-academic support roles would be assigned in this job title; Sanger employs only Federal Work Study Award eligible students in this title. The structure for beginning and continuing salaries is as follows:
Starting salary: $11.25/hr
After four completed semesters of (mostly*) consecutive employment: $12.50/hr
NOTE: Starting fall 2019, the majority of SLC student educators will be appointed for a full school year. Thus, pay rate increases will only happen between academic years, not between fall and spring.
*Exceptions can be made for one semester of study abroad, research, internship, or work/school balance.
