The latest edition of Acrobat PDFMaker appears to be incompatible with Word and PowerPoint. To temporarily fix this:
Opening the Library Folder
Click on the Finder app 
Click on the Go menu, hold down the Option key 
and choose Library.
Deleting the Problem Files
After opening the Library folder, navigate through the following folders:
📁 Group Containers
📁 UB48T346G9.Office
⚠️ (The name may vary, but should end in ".Office")📁 User Content
📁 Startup
Deleting the Powerpoint File
Within the 📁 Startup folder, open the 📁 Powerpoint folder
Delete the file called “SaveAsAdobePDF.ppam”
Deleting the Word File
Within the 📁 Startup folder, open the 📁 Word folder
Delete the file called “linkCreation.dotm”
Restart Microsoft Word and Powerpoint
You’re done! 🎉
