Detectors not taking exposures

    Detectors not taking exposures

    Oct 17, 2014

This problem usually manifests as 'Detector is not available' and 'Initialize was not completed' inside the DTP or SVC package logs.

The cause of the error is a loss of the network connection to the detector. The error on the DCC will be this:

In order to fix this issue the detector computer must be reset following the Old Full Shutdown Procedures and the Old Full Startup Procedures for the offending detector.

The volumes will need to be remounted and the instrument control software should be reset.

In the case that a network cable will be disconnected while the detector computer is running follow this procedure:

To prevent this kind of situation, we have to do following works before detaching network cables.
    0) Close the all components of IGRINS Control Software and eject
all mounted volumes. -> [Turn ICC off] is the simplest way.

    1) Stop socket servers on DCCs
There is the 'Enable Socket Server' option in the 'System' menu on the
Teledyne's socket server. We can stop the socket server
by uncheck the 'Enable Socket Server'.
    2) Turn Lakeshore350 off
To avoid malfunction of the embedded socket server of LS350.

After re-connecting network, restart the Teledyne's socket servers
(check the 'Enable Socket Server') , turn LS350 on agin
    , multiple selections available,
