Troubleshooting Laser | C02 Air Assist
Problem
When cutting their materials, users can often see large flames about 1-2" tall under the laser and immediately extinguished.
These flames are due to an issue with the C02 Air assist system
Issue 1: Switch/valve is not open/on
Issue 2: Elbow is not directed towards laser pathway
Solution
Ensure the C02 Air assist switch on the carriage is rotated towards you. (see image)
AIR ASSIST SHOULD ALWAYS BE ON
C02 Elbow direction
Verify Elbow is in place and pointing towards laser path. (see image)
Blue highlight = Air assist switch, toggle on/off (switch should be covering the red paint mark to indicate it is actively open)
Green highlight = Air assist elbow, directs the C02 towards the laser/flame to dissipate heat and fumes
