AVID - Effects Nesting

Nesting - to have multiple effects on a clip, or having an effect within an effect on the same clip
To add an effect to a clip, first click Tools > Effect Palette
It should pull up the Effect Palette that looks like this
Drag the desired effect onto the clip To check if the effect is applied on the clip, go to Tools > Effect Editor and click on the clip This should call up all effects applied on the clip
To add an additional effect, drag an effect onto the same clip from the Effect Palette while holding down the Alt/Option key You can see that a second effect has been added to the same clip in the Effect Editor
