- In order to qualify, you must be a continuing, full-time graduate student at UT or have submitted a graduate program application to the University. - Rates include the cost of room, all utilities (electricity and water), laundry, internet and trash service.
- If you have questions, please email University Housing and Dining at housing@austin.utexas.edu.
Off-Campus Housing
The Division of Student Affairs has great off-campus living resources like apartment finder, finding roommates and much more. Check out their website for more.
The Texas Global website provides some great housing resources for both international students and US citizens. They have detailed information regarding apartment guides, apartment finders, Austin-area utilities (electric, water, gas, etc.), average rental rates, rental terminology, rental procedures, and Austin-area bus routes and bus schedules for students.
The UT Graduate School also offers online resources to aid students in the housing search, and has a grad student housing survey from across campus.
The Graduate Student Housing Forum was created for incoming and current graduate students to find roommates, existing housing, and to share your opinions on housing locations, apartment complexes, and/or Austin-area neighborhoods. You can “enroll” yourself here: https://utexas.instructure.com/enroll/R7EPL6 to see the discussions.
Craigslist Austin hosts a number of off-campus housing listings.
There is a roommate finder Facebook page moderated by undergraduates, which some students have found useful.
Buy/Sell Furniture
UT Buy/Sell/Trade/Free and UT Austin Goods Exchange are both Facebook pages that require a @utexas.edu email address for membership.
