COMPUTER TURNED ON?

Look for a small bright white light on the right hand

side of the Sonnet computer rack mount.

If computer is not on you can restart it by

pressing the black button on the right.

MOUSE LIGHT ON?

Look for a red LED on the bottom of the mouse.

If no light report to Help Desk.

LCD MONITOR LIGHT ON?

Look for an Amber (Standby) LED on the bottom

right of the Monitor.

If no light push button on bottom right or check to

make sure power cord is pushed in to monitor.

CRESTRON TOUCHPANEL ON?

Touch the Touch Panel with you finger to

wake it up.

If the screen is blank (see left), the restart

button is a small red button located on

the back of the Touch Panel.

CRESTRON ROOM SCHEDULER WORKING?

Outside of the room is the Room Scheduler

it should have lights on it. Check by

touching it or waving your hand in

front of it.

If no lights or response report to Help Desk.

MICROPHONES IN THE RIGHT PLACE?

Some rooms have microphones. When

you look at the troubleshooting matrix

attached to this page, those rooms

have a column that addresses microphones.


Please check if the microphones are in the

labeled Microphone drawer.


Also, replace the 9V batteries with new ones returning

uncapped 9V to the help desk for testing

If any are missing report to Help Desk.

ARE LAPTOP CABLES USABLE?

Look at the Audio cable, HDMI, and VGA

cables on the teaching lectern.


Check to see if the cables are present, not

missing any structurally significant pieces.


The possible cable defects include:

Bent Pins, Loose Cable Connectors, Broken Cables,

and Cables placed in an inaccessible manner.

 

 

If any are missing or defective report to Help Desk.

ARE ALARM PANELS ARMED?

Look for a red LED on the left of the panel.


If no red light, arm or report to a full time employee.

ARE HALLWAY TVs ON?

Verify the hallway TVs are on and in Full Screen Mode.

If they are not on, fill in the Matrix accordingly, and

inform the Help Desk that the TV is not

working.
