The school’s new branding system strongly encourages the adoption, whenever possible, of the primary logo on its own to create a powerful, unified brand identity that supersedes any individual program.

Do not manually type the logo. Always use the artwork files that are provided in the download section.
The logos below must be represented exactly as shown. If any of these parts are not present, the logo (lockup) is incomplete. Refer at the usage section for additional information.

There are three expressions of the primary logo designed for different purposes:

Secondary Logos — Program, Center, Initiative, and Department Logos

Academic programs, Business Options, and the Alumni Network have customized secondary versions of all three of the new logos (formal, informal, and stacked). They are the only groups that have a customized stacked logo for marketing and promotional purposes.

Departments, centers, and initiatives have customized secondary versions of two of the new logos (formal and informal). Because they have such a variety of special situations, these groups do not have a customized stacked logo for marketing and promotional purposes, but instead are encouraged to use the primary stacked logo in combination with a type treatment following the approved system described in our logo guidelines. This allows them maximum flexibility to customize each of their individual marketing pieces to the specifics of each project.

Staff offices do not have customized secondary logos. Staff offices must use the primary logo for all purposes — print, digital, and promotional. They may create customized materials by combining any of the three versions of the primary logos with a type treatment using the approved system described in our logo guidelines.

Logo Plus Type Treatment

Type treatments may be used to emphasize a program, center, event, marketing message, staff office, center, certificate, etc. with either primary or secondary logos for print, digital, or promotional purposes. This allows for maximum flexibility for all McCombs entities.

Type treatments may not appear “locked up” with a primary logo. In other words, type treatments should be separated far enough from a primary logo that it doesn’t look like they are a part of it.

Type treatments should be in university/McCombs branded fonts or their substitute, and may not appear to be their own logos.

The type treatment should not include “McCombs” unless it is part of the official name.
