Important Info About Credit/No Credit!
The University of Texas limits the number of Credit/No Credit (CR/NC) coursework on a Degree Plan to 20% of the coursework used for the degree (Thesis, Master’s Report, and Dissertation don’t count towards the 20%). Be very careful about signing up for a class as CR/NC, unless it is a class listed specifically on your Program of Work that is only offered on the CR/NC basis (e.g. Internship, Dissertation, Research hours).
Incomplete Grades
If a student is unable to complete required coursework by the end of a semester, the instructor may assign a temporary Incomplete (X). To avoid the grade becoming permanent, the remaining work must be finished before the last class day of the subsequent next long semester, or . If the work is not completed by the deadline, the X will automatically convert to a permanent incomplete Incomplete (I) on the student’s record. Note: students .
Students on academic employment (e.g. TA, GRA, AI) may not have hold more than two total grades of X, I, NC, D, or F in any combination.
