Faculty who wish to request an exception to this 95% cap may submit an Attestation for Increased Effort on Sponsored Funds request to the Office of Research Support and Compliance (ORSC) and are encouraged to consult with their research administrator before doing so.

NIH salary cap
Congress legislatively mandates a limitation on salary for individuals under NIH grant and cooperative agreement awards.
