You will also get a separate email that will have the download links to download the Windows or Mac Versions of the software Choose the one you want to download for your particular Operating System | |
Double click on the downloaded .dmg for mac | |

Mac choose the Install Media Composer | |
Click Agree on all the prompts and Click Continue here Leave the Enterprise Scripts unchecked You will click through the rest of the prompts till you are required to put an admin password in enter your admin password to begin installation. | |
Next is how to activate AVID | |
Open AVID Link - It's in the menu bar in the upper right side of the mac top menu bar | |
These are options that you can choose Just hit Yes and OK or No and Cancel it's up to you | |
You need to sign in Click on the Profile Icon | |
Put in your AVID master account info that you entered in earlier in this wiki when you signed up for your AVID account. | |
Go to >Products>Media Composer | |

Next you need to activate ProToolsInstructions for licensing a Pro Tools system with iLok Cloud | |
Launch Pro Tools (if no iLok is plugged in you will get the normal iLok prompt window). a PACE window saying “No Internet Connection” will appear | |
Step 2: (“Back” will take you to the previous screen) | |
Step 3: will begin a persistent iLok Cloud Session, and you will remain logged in until you choose to “Close Cloud Session” in iLok License Manager. | |
Step 4: There is another window showing that the login was successful. Choose “Next” to close this window. | |
Step 5: iLok License Manager shows iLok Cloud under the Local sidebar when a Cloud Session is active. Any licenses that are Cloud-enabled will now show up in this section (instead of under the normal list) and will be allocated to the active Cloud Session. | |
