Users with certain roles (Collection Owner, Supervisor, DAMS Manager, and Admin) may purge assets using the Purge tool available under the Tools menu.
There are two options for purging assets:
- Provide a list of comma-separated PIDS (no spaces)
- Provide one PID of a parent object to recursively delete all child PIDS
Users should choose option 2 to purge a collection and all the assets in that collection, or to purge a publication, book, or issue, and all the child issues or pages. See more details for purging paged content.
Note: If an asset is published, then users will not be able to purge the object until the asset is unpublished successfully.
