There are many reasons you may receive an error message on your computer. You may have tried to have a program so something it cannot, or it could indicate a more serious problem on your computer. Before going for help, try reading the error message. Sometimes the message will let you know what happened, and it is simple to fix the problem. This won't always be the case.

Many error messages are complicated, and don't mean much to end users. If you are encountering error messages, you can take your computer to the SWAT Shop. If you have a McCombs notebook, they will be able to work on your computer. If you do not own a McCombs notebook, they will consult with you without actually touching your computer. They may send you on to another resource for help. If you do not own a McCombs notebook, you can also go to the ITS Help Desk for assistance.
