This error is coming up whenever we updated to version 12.8. Fixed it on most labs seats but this is the fix just in case.
One last thing is to delete the audio Midi Setup settings
Lauch the Audio MIDI Setup |

Click on the ProTools Aggregate I/O and choose to delete it. click on the Minus Icon in the lower left and then close the audio MIDI setup
When ProTools launches it will re-create it properly |
