Sailing involves the need to be able to quickly and effectively grab rope to adjust the direction of the boat. For a person suffering a handicap, specifically one that limits the ability to strongly grip the rope, this can make sailing difficult and almost impossible. Because of this our group set out to develop a tool that could assist users in gripping rope who are suffering from an injury that limits their grip strength.
