Texas THON

The UTSCA Council has partnered up with Texas THON to plan our first event together, "Family & Hospital Field Day". SAVE THE DATE for Sunday, September 26! Texan THON is a student-run philanthropy organization that raises funds to help kids at the Dell Children’s Hospital. Our goal is to provide clubs with an easy way to get the volunteering requirement out of the way while helping you support a great cause here at the university. For more information regarding our relationship, please review this page of the Handbook.

Healthy Student Organization Program

The Healthy Student Organization Program here at UT can help sport clubs lay the foundation for having a healthy, thriving engaged student group. Healthy group practices help members feel more connected and happier. Recreational Sports encourages this through sponsorship of sport clubs and our Community Service/Volunteer requirement. Please review the info below to find ideas and opportunities in helping your organization build a healthy community for your sport on campus.

Student Activities

Student Activities offers many services/resources to student organizations and provides space reservations and training through its workshops, one-on-one consultations and event planning support.

Pillars of the Forty Acres

Pillars of the Forty Acres is a recognition program offered by Student Activities for student organizations whose activities embody the University's six Core Values. The program has six categories that align with the Core Values. Organizations receive points for completing the criteria within each category to earn recognition status and rewards. Much of the criteria is great for healthy community building.
