Adobe Acrobat Pro when installed includes add-ins for the Office Suite named the following: linkCreation.dotm, SaveAsAdobePDF.xlam, SaveAsAdobePDF.ppam

These add-ins are then automatically put into the Office Suite and cause an error,

The add-ins are 32-bit, and since the Office suite is 64-bit they are unable to run. Since these add-ins don't work to begin with, removing them does not affect any functionality, and saving files within the Office Suite as .pdf still works. We are not sure why Adobe includes these when Acrobat is installed.

Removing the add-ins:

1. Quit all Office applications.

2. Launch the UT Self Service (or "CNS App Store" if your device has not been migrated yet). This can be found within the Applications folder in Finder.

3. Within the top left of the application, search for "Acrobat/Office error 53 Resolution".

4. Run the command.

5. Open PowerPoint, Excel, and Word to verify that the error no longer appears.

If you have an error when launching PowerPoint or Word,

ex.

You will need to take additional steps below,

1. Within the application's Menu Bar, select Tools > PowerPoint Add-ins (If MS Word: Templates and Add-ins...)

2. Click on SaveAsAdobePDF.xlam (or linkCreation.dotm) and then click on the minus (-) to remove.

3. Quit PowerPoint (or Word) and relaunch. All errors should be gone!
