Are there discounted tickets available?

Student tickets are available at $10 for the Opening Concert and Senior Finals. Further announcements about discounted tickets will be coming soon.

 

Are there group tickets available?

This has not been officially set by TPA and Long Center, but we are working on it. If it is a caller asking about this, suggest that they check back in with us by 1/30/14.

 

Can I buy a festival/competition pass for Menuhin?

No. Due to the variety of venues hosting the competition, there are no “festival passes” for Menuhin.

 

What tickets can I purchase through the Butler School of Music?

Chamber Music Evening (Monday, Feb. 25, 7:30pm)

The Junior Finals (Part 2) (Friday, Feb. 28, 7:00pm)

 

Can I buy tickets through Butler School of Music over the phone?

No. The Butler School of Music is unable to do ticket purchases over the phone. Online purchases are easiest, and if tickets are still available, you can purchase at the door.

 

Can I buy tickets for Butler School of Music events in person?

Yes, you can come to the box office in person. The box office hours are:

Monday - Friday: 11am - 1pm

 

Where can I buy tickets for the Opening Concert and Closing Gala?

The Opening Concert and Closing Gala Concert are part of Texas Performing Art’s (TPA) season AND on the Long Center Calendar. So you can buy tickets from either box office for these two events.

Where can I buy tickets for the Junior Finals (Part 2 at 7:00pm)?

There are two ways to buy Junior Finals tickets.

1)    Go online to Thundertix (the vender for BSOM tickets). The link to Junior finals tickets is on violinatx.org -> Events -> Junior Finals.

2)    Go to the BSOM box office in person. Mon – Fri 11am – 1pm.

BSOM cannot purchase tickets for patrons over the phone.

 

Do I need tickets for both parts of the Junior Finals?

The Junior Finals have two rounds. The first round is during the day (2:30pm - 5:20pm) and it is free. It features collaborative pieces with pianists and with Bion Tsang (cello). The second round is in the evening starting at 7:00pm with the UTSO and it is a paid performance because it is a much larger evening event that features the announcement of the Junior winners.

When purchasing Junior Finals tickets, how do I know which price tier I’m
choosing?

There are two levels to purchase, represented by RED and PURPLE. The PURPLE
section represents the rear of the auditorium, the RED represents the front.
Currently, the PURPLE = $44 and RED = $84.

Same drill as for Junior Finals:

Is the Cleveland Orchestra giving more than one performance?

Yes, they are giving a school children’s concert performance on Saturday, March 1st at 2pm and a Closing Gala Concert on Sunday, March 2 at 7:00pm.

 

Can I get tickets to the Cleveland Orchestra Concert on Saturday, March 1st?

The Saturday concert for Austin school children is sold out. If you have a child interested attending this concert, you should contact the school’s educator.

 

My child is home schooled. How can he/she attend the Cleveland Orchestra concert?
