- Before requesting space for your event, log in to the BSOM Website, and click on Room View. You can look at classroom and performance hall availability here first.
2. Request your space by emailing scheduling@mail.music.utexas.edu. Include the following information:
- Room or hall (Note that not all classrooms are "smart" with Audio/Visual equipment, and that Jessen Auditorium has no sound reinforcement capabilities)
- Date, start-time, and set-up time required
- Name of the event
- Specify whether or not you would like the event to appear publicly on the BSOM Web Calendar. If you would like it publicized, include a brief summary describing the event (or a brief bio for Guest Artists & Master Classes).
- If you would like the concert recorded, please specify that. Note that not all performances can be recorded and/or streamed. Your request will be sent to Frank, and depending on the availability of the Recording Engineers, he will schedule it to be recorded.
3. If you need a dress rehearsal time for the event, you can request that time when you schedule the event itself, or as soon as you are able, to ensure that the hall time is available.
4. If the event requires a special set-up or specific materials, please include that in the request (Examples: Canopy placement, louvers closed or open, stage extenders, choral risers, conductor podium, sound reinforcement, harpsichord, etc...). This information will be reviewed by the Scheduling Coordinator, the Venue Manager, and the Piano Technicians.
