Summer 2026

April 6 - April 17 

Registration for continuing and readmitted students.

May 5

Fee bills electronically distributed. Students notified by email.

May 18- May 20

Continued registration for continuing and readmitted students. 
Add/Drops for students who have paid.

May 27- June 3

Registration for all students (For all summer sessions) 
Add/Drops for students who have paid.

June 9

Tuition and fee payment due by 5 p.m. Students with zero bills must confirm their registration via the Web to prevent cancellation.

July 10

Registration for students enrolling for second session only. Tuition and fees must be paid or zero bills confirmed by 5 p.m. on July 16.

July 13

Last day for new doctoral candidates to change registration in research hours to dissertation hours.

July 31

Last day to apply for a graduate degree. 
Last day a doctoral candidate may hold a dissertation defense for summer 2026.

August 14

Last day to submit final paperwork to the Graduate School for graduation.

Fall 2026

June 3 - July 27

Registration for new, continuing and readmitted students.

July 28

Fee bills electronically distributed. Students notified by email.

August 19 - 23

Registration for all students who have not yet registered.  
Beginning Aug. 21, $25 late fee in effect for all students not registered.  
Payment due 5 p.m., Aug. 27  
Add/drop for students who have registered and paid. Add bills due on Aug. 27 by 5 p.m.

August 21

Deadline for graduate students to be registered in absentia in the fall.

August 24

First class day.

August 24 -  27

Late registration for all students. $25 late fee in effect.  
(Note: Late fee increases to $50 on Sept. 1 and $200 on Sept. 10)  
Add/drops for registered and paid students. Add bills due on Sept. 9 by 5 p.m.

August 24 - Sept. 9 
(First 12 class days)

Delete drop period.  
Classes added, dropped and grade status changed online from Aug. 24 - Aug. 27.
Classes added, dropped and grade status changed in the department offering the course from Aug. 24 - Sept. 9.

August 27

Tuition and fee payment due by 5 p.m. Students with zero bills must confirm their registration via the Web to prevent cancellation.

Sept. 9

The Twelfth Class Day. Last day to add/drop a course with a refund,  
Payment for added classes due by 5 p.m.

Sept. 10 - 21

Q drop period. Courses may be dropped without academic penalty.  
Approval of the Graduate Adviser and Graduate Dean required.

Sept. 22 - Dec. 7

Q/F drop period. Dropping a course requires the approval of the instructor, who must assign a "Q" or "F," the Graduate Adviser and the Graduate Dean.

Nov. 13

Last day to apply for a graduate degree.  
Last day for new doctoral candidates to change registration to dissertation.

Nov. 20

Last day a doctoral candidate may hold a dissertation defense for fall 2026.

Nov. 23

Last day to change grade status to or from the credit/ no credit basis.

Dec. 4

Last day to submit final paperwork to the Graduate School for graduation.

Dec. 7

Last class day. This is the last day to drop a class or withdraw from the fall semester.
